Today I will talk about the evolution of the technology on the last 50 years.

If we think about the technological pieces that we have in the present in our lives, they have to admit that these lives are extremely complex and rounded of technology.

The evolution of the technology was suffered an exponential improve during the last 50 years, especially in those 50 years.

 For example, in the 1950’ was created a lot of things that are used in the actuality by some people with absolute normality… things like the TV remote control or the microwave oven, the jet airlines and the radical fibers like the Kevlar or the Velcro.

In 1962 was created the LED technology, which is used in the coffee machines in that period to indicate when the beverage is finished. The inventor was Nick Holonyak, working as a consultant of General Electric.

In the same year was created the video games… that invention maybe was one of the most revolutionary invents that was made, and I can talk an entire post about it, but that is not the trending topic. For example, 43 years after of their invention the 89% of the kids in de USA plays any type of video game.

That evolution was directly related with the evolution of the gigantic computers, which evolved into the actual personal computer.

During the rest of the 60’s the technology evolved into the invention of the music synthesizer (and the music evolution that carries that), the smoke detector used in some public and private properties, and the computer mouse (the computer mouse are being probably used by you right now if you are reading this on a computer).

In the 70’ the theme was the portatile technology, with the invention of the cell phone and the Sony Walkman. The first cell phone was made by Motorola during the 1973, the inventor called to their competition using the phone.

The 80’s and the 90’ was a period of micro – technology and improvement of the whole tech with inventions like the Prozac, the MP3 player (evolution of Walkman) and one of the most important things: the world wide web, known as the “www” or the actual internet in some cases.

In the new century the technology made an unexpected improve to the nano technology, and the microprocessors. In the 2002 was created the IEEE 802.16. It consists in a wireless metropolitan area network, used in Paris, France.
